Sunday Funday: SloHi Coffee & Leroy’s Bagel’s | Sloan’s Lake
Today’s Sunday Funday took us to both SloHi Coffee + Bikes and Leroy’s Bagels in Denver’s Sloan’s Lake neighborhood on W. 29th Avenue.
It’s a two-for-one treat since they are next door to one another!
Here’s what we love about SloHi Coffee and Leroy’s Bagels:
Slohi Coffee and Bike (we’ll talk about the bike part in a sec), features locally roasted coffee. And yes, it easily holds its own as one of our best coffee shops in town. Featuring coffee roasted by local favs such as Pablo’s, Strava, Commonwealth, Copper Door, and Novo, you will get excellent coffee, along with superior service. Oh, and it’s not just coffee, they’ve got other amazing drinks and tasty treats, too. And let’s not forget about bikes! They are a full-service bike shop that repairs yours, rents, or sells you a new, mechanical, electric, or family bike. Check it out!
Got your coffee? Wander next door to the east to find yourself in cozy little Leroy’s Bagels. They’ve got plain on plain, but if that’s not your thing, check out the sandwich board, you won’t be…bored (bad rhyme, sorry-not-sorry). Seriously though, we probably eat breakfast bagels here once a week. They are homemade, served with love, and yeah, really delicious. Oh, and check out the “Pay it Forward” posts on the wall while you’re waiting in the typical (but fast-moving) line. You’ll find that past patrons have left little “prepaid” bagel and drink gifts: handwritten certificates good for things like “a free breakfast bagel for a tired new mom”, “large coffee for a police officer”, “bagel of choice for someone who is having a bad day”. Feel free to take one or leave one. Either way, it’ll make your day. This place has great food and wonderful heart. See for yourself!
