Sell Your Home. Keep Your Privacy.

These days, it seems almost normal to broadcast every detail of our life for the whole world to see: friends, family, exes, in-laws, that random guy you see every morning at Crema.

Even if you’re generally not the type to bare your soul on the ‘gram, there are certain events in life that practically require you to show and tell. Like selling your home.

Think about it: To find a buyer, you have to publicly state your address, flaunt what your place is worth, and then post a ton of photos of your most private spaces: your bedroom, the ensuite bath, your kids’ rooms.

At least that’s how people without a Compass agent have to do it.

We get that some people aren’t super excited about letting so many private details of their life go public. (Honestly? Same.) When you work with us, you have another option.

Compass Private Exclusives

With a Private Exclusive listing through your favorite Compass agents (that would be us), you can sell your home without the exposure of a traditional public listing.

A Private Exclusive listing might be for you if:

  • You’re relocating for a new job, and you haven’t told your people yet.

  • You’re moving because of a marriage or divorce.

  • Your financial situation has changed, and you don’t want the whole world to know.

  • You own valuable items like art or antiques, and you’d rather not tip off the neighbors.

  • You’d really, really, really, really rather not have an open house.

  • You’re Clark Kent, and don’t want anyone to see that red cape in your closet.

  • You simply value your privacy.

The perks don’t end there. With Compass Private Exclusives, you also get to:

  • Stay in control. As the seller, you decide when to post certain listing details about your home, according to your own timing and comfort level.

  • Choose your audience. Private Exclusive listings are shared only by Compass agents and directly with their colleagues or buyers. You can feel confident your house is being shown only to people who might actually be interested in buying it—without appearing on any public sites. You can also choose to have premium placement on our agent-facing platform.

  • Test out aggressive pricing. Who doesn’t want to sell their house for the highest amount they can? With a private listing, you can start with a higher asking price without the risk of your listing going stale on the public market.

We’d love to learn about your home and tell you more about how Private Exclusive listings work.
