Neighborhood Hot Spot: Southern Cooking, New York Bagels & Congress Park Ice Cream

Our city hosts an eclectic variety of neighborhoods, each with their own charm and unique restaurants, shops, cafes, breweries and just about everything in between!  This week’s Neighborhood Hot Spot blog showcases a purveyor of New York bagels in Five Points, Gourmet Ice Cream in Congress Park and Southern cooking in LoHi! 

Here are a few Neighborhood Hot Spots you do not want to miss!

Hot Spot:
Rosenberg’s Bagel’s & Delicatessen

Location:
725 E 26th Ave, Denver, CO 80205

Why:  
They truly have the best bagels in town! They have engineered the water to match the water in NYC so the are Manhattan authentic!

Who Says:

The Atmosphere is:
Like you stepped into a hip deli in Manhattan. The customer service is absolutely amazing! The food is incredible.

What to Drink/Eat:
Anything on a bagel! The lox are incredible. Everything is so authentic and delicious. They use Tender Belly Bacon so, of course, the egg, bacon and cheese bagels are the best! 

Value for the Price?
Great! 

Rosenberg’s Bagels & Delicatessen would be Fabulous for: 
Sunday mornings, visitors from out of town, when your kids wake up early, business meetings, sneak off by yourself and read The New York Times…it’s the best!

Hot Spot:
Sweet Cooie’s

Location:
3506 12th Ave, Denver, CO 80206

Why:  
It’s just soooo good! It is a favorite spot for my wife and me when we want to head out for a treat. From the style to the service to the deliciousness, it’s just fantastic!

Who Says: 
Troy Coleman

The Atmosphere is:
Fun and playful with a vintage feel.

What to Drink/Eat:
The waffle cone and its many dipped options is a go-to favorite, but the shakes are truly wonderful too! The vegan Salted Oreo Ice Cream is a routine favorite

Value for the Price?
Great! 

Sweet Cooie’s would be Fabulous for: 
A sweet indulgence anytime! Our favorite time is late afternoon or early evening when the patio is just perfect for enjoying a sweet treat!

Low Country Kitchen – LoHi

Location:
1575 Boulder St Ste A, Denver, CO 80211

Why:  
It’s in the heart of LoDo, fantastic food, and still walk-in accessible.

Who Says: 
Heather Pikas

The Atmosphere is:
Nice, but still casual.

What to Drink/Eat:
Happy hour biscuits with 48-hour marinated, buttermilk fried chicken!

Value for the Price?
Excellent!
