Life in Denver: The Shops at Cobbler’s Square | Sunnyside
Today’s Life in Denver takes us to the corner of 44th and Alcott where we find The Shops at Cobbler’s Square in Denver’s Sunnyside neighborhood. Why did we end up here, you ask? So many reasons and the promise of bacon is just one of them.
Here’s what we love about hanging out at The Shops at Cobbler’s Square:
Sub Rosa Mercantile: According to her website, owner Maddie, is just a gal and her shop, bringing small makers from across the country (and maybe one day beyond) to Denver’s Sunnyside. Sub Rosa Mercantile offers thoughtfully collected brands, from utilitarian and home decor items to personal accessories and lifestyle goods. With a smattering of vintage thrown in for good measure, we offer an eclectic collection of made by hand, carefully crafted items, for your enjoyment.
Cheese + Provisions: Our founder, Steve Duty, is passionate foodie and a 35-year veteran of the food and beverage industry. What sets them apart from other cheese shops is that he and his wife, Kim, have lived the artisan food producer’s life and know what it takes to make farmstead cheese…they’ve built a farm from scratch! Thier shop is all about celebrating the artisans.
EcoMountain Modern Living: Founder, Dee Larsen, hopes her store will become your one-stop-shop for eco-friendly home needs. They’ve been researching, creating, sourcing for years to curate the best, healthy, innovative products and ideas. At EcoMountain, you can make-your-own non-toxic laundry detergent or all-purpose cleaner using our recipes. All the ingredients are at your fingertips and go home with you in a compostable bag or glass bottle instead of plastic. Or maybe you have your own recipes and would like to grab bulk, chemical-free ingredients from our store instead of having to source all those things online and wait for them to come in. Everything you need for clean, healthy living can be found at EcoMountain.
There’s also Bacon Social House, Honeycomb & Co., Intrigue Boutique, Lombardi’s on the Avenue and the anchor…El Jefe! Our suggestion is that you save all of your errands for one afternoon, start with a Bloody Mary at Bacon and work your way around the square! We love the almost “hand-picked” feel of The Shops at Cobbler’s Square. So many true makers, artisans, and thoughtful shop owners in one place!
